CHRIS MAHAFFEY, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Chris Mahaffey is the Executive Director of ALBION SC Atlanta and one of the driving forces behind the club’s rapid growth and player development success. A lifelong soccer player and coach from the Atlanta area, Chris has dedicated his career to creating elite pathways and opportunities for players at every level of the game.

Chris played youth soccer at the highest levels before continuing his career collegiately at Georgia State University (NCAA Division I). He later went on to play professionally both overseas and domestically, experiences that helped shape his understanding of player development and the demands of the modern game.

With more than a decade of coaching and leadership experience, Chris has coached players from the youth level all the way to college and professional soccer. He has led numerous teams to league championships, state titles, national events, and high-level showcases while building a reputation for developing technically gifted, intelligent, and competitive players.

In 2012, Chris was named Georgia Soccer Girls Coach of the Year and has continued to establish himself as one of the top club leaders in the Southeast. He previously served as Assistant Coach at Oglethorpe University, where he helped lead the women’s program to one of the most successful stretches in school history.

Since taking over leadership within Henry County Soccer Association and later helping launch and expand ALBION SC Atlanta, Chris has focused on elevating the club through professional standards, elite platforms, and player-first development. Under his leadership, ALBION SC Atlanta has expanded into nationally recognized leagues and pathways including MLS NEXT, Elite Academy League (EA), DPL, SCCL, UPSL, and national/international competition opportunities.

Chris also serves on the Elite Academy League National Talent ID Staff and EA Advisory Committee, helping identify and develop top talent across the country. His work has contributed to players earning opportunities with professional academies, national programs, college programs, and international events.

Chris holds his USSF A License and remains passionate about building an environment that develops players both on and off the field while providing families with a true pathway to the next level.
